My images are inspired by the strange and wonderful natural things that fascinate me – birds, microscopic life, things that wash up at low tide, distant
objects looming on the horizon line distorted by heatwaves – as well as the mysterious artifacts of our culture, such as old commercial art, creatures in 1950s
science fiction movies, industrial machinery, to name a few.  I share, through images, my feelings of wonder, humor, and mystery.

I combine traditional and digital methods to produce an image. Using Photoshop, I manipulate an array of raw images, including drawings, scanned
objects, and photographs to arrive at a completed work printed on photographic paper or on canvas.  I do not use AI or generative software to produce my images.

I also photograph nature and specialize in birds and insects. Photographing insects in their natural habitat will be my major concern for the foreseeable future.
